Expedition Overview
Wildlife on the Meru climb
One of the most important aspects of a successful ascent of Kilimanjaro is acclimatization. By using the stunning Mt Meru, team members are well prepared to tackle the main objective. The 3-day ascent of Mt Meru is also a fantastic opportunity to see the African wildlife whilst climbing and staying in comfortable huts.
Well acclimatized already we then climb Kilimanjaro by way of the Shira camp and enjoy the trek more than groups who simply come and climb right up by this route. At 11 days our trip is a few days longer than many other companies but we think it is worth it to take a little extra time and gain so much!
After the climb enjoy a short safari or one of our extensions to Mt. Kenya for either trekking to the Nelion Peak (5188m) or technical rock climbing to Batian Peak (5199m). Let us know the perfect trip for you and we’ll make it a reality.
Our lead guide for Kilimanjaro is Sean James and we welcome you to join him for a fantastic adventure!
