This will be our 1st trip as a company to Nanga Parbat but our 11th expedition to an 8000m peak in Pakistan. As such we have a great system in place, an experienced guide for the route, several HAP’s who have been on the mountain and we are ready to go in 2012!
No other operator has the recent experience, history and safety record that we do in the Karakoram. This program has been priced to give climbers an affordable opportunity to test their skills and endurance on one of mountaineering’s most storied peaks on a fabulous route. If you aspire to climb classic Himalayan 8,000ers, in a remote and stunning setting, and with quality back-up and expert leadership, then we invite your application for this once-in-a-lifetime 2012 expedition.
Climbing on the world’s highest peaks is a potentially dangerous undertaking, and while we operate with safety as the highest priority, and have enjoyed a fatality free 15 year history in Pakistan, it must be understood by members that there are risks and dangers that neither leaders or members have any control over. Members need to be aware of these risks and accept their presence as being inherent to the pursuit of the world’s highest s ummits
The Kinshofer Route on Nanga Parbat
We will be tackling the mountain by the most commonly used route originally pioneered in 1962 on the left side of the Diamir face. This route offers the safest approach compared to the central parts of the Diamir and Rupal faces.
As in our style of climb on K2 last season the style of our climb will require that members are able to take an active part in preparing the route and carrying a share of the tent/stove/fuel loads for the highest camps.
Joining The Expedition & Further Information
